Request for Proposal
Sacramento Suburban Water District (SSWD) is currently part of a consortium of seven water supply agencies in the Sacramento Region that are in the process of seeking a consultant for professional services to assist with the preparation of a Sacramento Region Water Utility Collaboration/Integration Study (Study). In addition to SSWD, the other agencies consist of Carmichael Water District, Citrus Heights Water District, City of Folsom, Del Paso Manor Water District, Rio Linda/Elverta Community Water District and San Juan Water District. For organizational purposes, SSWD will serve as the lead, or coordinating agency, for an evaluation of collaboration/integration opportunities considered in this feasibility and planning study. The objective of the Study is to identify ways the agencies can become more efficient in working together to minimize cost to their customers and optimize the use of their water supplies, personnel, equipment, infrastructure and other resources, as well as improve their ability to influence state and federal policies.
The Request for Proposal (RFP) was distributed on October 4, 2019 to a number of consulting firms that specialize in this type of study. The consultant is expected to be chosen near the end of November 2019.
