How to Read Your Water Bill Statement

The following is a representation of a typical billing statement which shows the most common items to be found on your water bill statement.

The back of your water bill has more information pertaining to each line item or you can read the "Summary of Monthly Water Rate Charges" for a detailed description of the various Rate Charges.

SSWD Sample Water Bill

Billing information such as account number, service address, billing service period and date due.

Current account activity such as payments, adjustments, previous balance and total amount due.

Meter information such as meter read dates, meter reads, number of units (in hundred cubic feet [ccf] 1 ccf=748 gallons), and usage charge. Flat rate customers will only see their square footage charge.

For meter customers: consumption graph shows 13-month graphical representation of water consumption.
