Marconi Gardens Main Replacement Project

The Marconi Gardens Main Replacement Project began construction in December, 2005. The $1.3 million pipeline project replaced existing outdated deteriorated backyard water mains with new water main, fire hydrants and metered water services along the front yard right of ways.

Total length of pipeline installed was approximately 6,100 linear feet of 8 and 12-inch diameter pipe; installation of fire hydrants and 93 new metered water services. The following streets were involved in this project; Howe Avenue, Yellowstone Lane, Marconi Avenue, Tulip Way, Rainbow Avenue, Bell Street and Carlsbad Avenue. Construction was completed in 2006.
