Walerga Road Main Extension Project

SSWD was awarded approximately $2 million of Proposition 13 grant monies to install a 36-inch pipeline, which enhances the distribution system. This pipeline begins near the intersection of Walerga and Antelope Roads and will connect to an existing line on the West side of Roseville Road.

The dollar for dollar match grant was part of the Proposition 13 bond measure to fight groundwater contaminants, replace worn-out infrastructure and support water reliability projects throughout California. Construction began in January 2004 and was completed in December 2004.
