Oak Plains Main Replacement Project

Construction is scheduled to begin in early 2012 and is scheduled to be completed in the fall. The estimated construction cost is $4.2 million dollars. This project includes the installation of 10,500 feet of 12" Ductile Iron Pipe (DIP), 5,300 feet of 8" DIP and 550 feet of 6" DIP. These new water mains will be installed in the street and will replace existing backyard water mains that have outlived their useful life. As part of this project, 22 fire hydrants will be replaced or upgraded. In addition, approximately 200 new water service lines with water meters will be installed. This project is bounded by Watt Avenue to the west, Robertson Avenue to the north, Becerra Way to the east and Marconi Avenue to the south.
