Antelope WEL Garden
SSWD's Antelope Garden is a botanical oasis filled with a variety of colors and textures. The two-acre garden was established in 1998 and contains numerous species of both native and drought-tolerant plants.
The garden offers many great ideas for your own landscape plantings, plus innovative irrigation systems to reduce water use and wasteful run off. There’s even a weather station, designed to collect data and program the irrigation system so it automatically responds to changing weather conditions.
School and community groups, clubs, and individuals are encouraged to visit our Antelope Garden and take a self-guided tour. Educational kiosks are contain information about water conserving landscape design. Please contact Water Conservation Supervisor, Greg Bundesen at 916.679.2890 for more information.
