Over the past several years, SSWD inventoried and estimated future repair, rehabilitation and/or replacement costs for all of the District's major existing water system capital assets. These assets include transmission and distribution pipelines and appurtenances, groundwater wells, storage tanks, and buildings and structures.
The District prepared several separate asset management plans/reports that addressed key District capital asset components. An Asset Management Plan Summary Report (AMPSR) was prepared which consolidated the findings from these various reports into a single report. Each of the individual reports includes estimated costs to repair, rehabilitate and/or replace the District's key water system facility assets.
The individual plans and the AMPSR do not represent a financial commitment by the Board, other than those CIP funds already approved and adopted. The cost projections in the AMPSR report will be included in the development of a long-term financial plan for the District.
