Come join staff at the next Community Outreach Day as SSWD participates in the 20th Annual Sacramento County Creek Week Celebration.

Creek Week culminates on Saturday, April 17th with two activities. From 9:00 am to noon, volunteers will clear trash from more than 50 different creek sites in Sacramento County. Clean-up activities help to maintain or improve the riparian habitat and keep our waters clean. The morning clean-up is followed by an afternoon celebration event complete with food, music, interactive exhibits and contests at Carmichael Park. SSWD will have a booth at the afternoon celebration event:

Take advantage of this opportunity to meet with District staff and be a part of this community activity. When you stop by SSWD’s booth, be sure to pick up conservation materials and water saving devices.

What is a
Community Outreach Day?

Community Outreach Days are typically scheduled throughout the late spring and early fall months. These events are aimed at building relationships of support and understanding with the community.

At the events, there are staff members available to answer your questions and provide information on water topics.
