SSWD employees proudly represented the District at the American Water Works Association Conference of the West this past April, competing in three events: Hydrant Hysteria, Meter Madness, and Top Ops. 

Three teams of SSWD employees competed in fast-paced events that tested real-world skills they use every day. In Hydrant Hysteria and Meter Madness, two-person teams competed to assemble a fire hydrant or water meter as quickly as possible. In Top Ops, teams went head-to-head in a lightning-fast question-and-answer competition. 

This was the first time competing for half of the SSWD employees, and they are looking forward to taking home the gold next year.
