Notice is hereby given that a vacancy exists on the Board of Directors of the Sacramento Suburban Water District (SSWD).  The SSWD Board of Directors is seeking letters of interest from qualified members of the public wishing to fill the vacancy left in Division 1. 

Persons interested in applying to fill the vacancy on the SSWD Board of Directors must be registered voters whose primary residence is located within Division 1 of SSWD’s service area.  Please see the Division 1 map to view the boundaries.

Qualified individuals may submit letters of interest to SSWD, including their residential address, email address, and contact phone number, addressed to the General Manager. Submissions can be made by mail or in person at 3701 Marconi Avenue, Sacramento, CA 95821, or via email at hhernandez@sswd.org. 

The remaining four Directors intend to interview candidates for the replacement from among the qualified applications. The new Director’s initial term will run until the November 2026, SSWD election, when all newly elected Directors are sworn into office. 

Directors set the policy and budgetary priorities and oversee the operations of SSWD.  All Directors are required to attend Board meetings on the third Monday of each month beginning at 5:00 p.m., and attend other meetings as assigned.
