The Sacramento Suburban Water District (SSWD) is currently in the process of reviewing its Urban Water Management Plan (UWMP) and Water Shortage Contingency Plan (UWMP Section 7/Appendix E) and will make amendments or updates, as appropriate.

The Urban Water Management Planning Act, Water Code Section 10610 et seq., requires every urban water supplier for municipal purposes to prepare and adopt an UWMP and periodically update that plan at least every five years. SSWD’s 2020 UWMP was adopted on June 1, 2021. The 2025 UWMP is required to be submitted to the California Department of Water Resources by July 1, 2026.

SSWD’s Public Hearing is scheduled to take place on May 18, 2026, at 5:00 p.m., during our Regular Board Meeting. All meetings are open to the public and attendance and participation are encouraged.

The Public Hearing will be held in-person at our Administration Office located at 3701 Marconi Ave, Sacramento, CA 95821, and via Zoom. Instructions for remote access via Zoom are available at: Zoom Access Instructions

The Draft 2025 UWMP is posted below for public review. SSWD will receive written comments up to the end of the Public Hearing. Public comments can be mailed to:
